On behalf of the Abersoch Sailing Club Committee, I am delighted to welcome you to our website!
We operate a seasonal sailing programme, based around the weekends, running from the Late May Bank Holiday to the end of August. Our races last between 30-40 minutes with the results based on average lap times to make racing more accessible to novices whilst allowing more seasoned racers to get their fix.
In addition to our Weekend Series’, we offer mid-week racing on Wednesdays, as well as the popular junior race training session held every Monday morning in August by our qualified RYA Race Coaches. The Club also runs a thriving social calendar, which includes beach curry and paella evenings, BBQs and the infamous ASC Bar Crawl.
The Club is also completely run by volunteers and is the reason we are able to keep our membership costs so low. We are always looking for volunteers to support the clubs activities. If you enjoy helping out on the patrol boats (minimum PB 2 required) or want to learn more about race management or mark laying, ASC can help you develop your skills and interests in the different areas of sailing. We believe if all members can give a little back to the club, it will be a fantastic, thriving place to sail.
